Your wedding is not a performance. It is a deeply personal celebration of connection, identity, and chosen community. At Hey Love Studio, we document LGBTQ weddings and elopements with care, creativity, and intention so you can feel fully present in the experience rather than worrying about how everything looks.
We are a queer-owned photography and videography team based in Arkansas and serving Texas and destinations across the United States. Our approach blends documentary observation with gentle direction, resulting in imagery and films that feel honest, cinematic, and emotionally grounded.
We believe wedding photography should help you remember how your day felt. Joyful. Calm. Affirming. Real.

We capture the big moments and the quiet ones. The laughter, tears, and everything in between. Your identities, cultural practices, chosen family, comfort levels, and boundaries guide every decision we make.
Wedding planning can include conversations about visibility, comfort, and acceptance. Working with a queer photographer means you do not need to explain who you are or worry about inclusive language. This emotional safety allows you to focus on celebrating your relationship.
Many LGBTQ weddings center chosen family as much as biological relatives. We document these relationships intentionally and respectfully, recognizing their significance in your story. We also navigate layered family dynamics with sensitivity during portraits, ceremonies, and candid coverage.
Your wedding does not need to follow outdated expectations. Whether you are getting ready together, walking each other down the aisle, or designing a timeline that prioritizes connection over tradition, we support storytelling that reflects your identities.
The way a photographer communicates matters. Gentle posing guidance, gender-neutral language, and respect for body autonomy help couples feel confident and relaxed in front of the camera.
Across parts of the South and Midwest, queer couples may encounter spaces that are not fully inclusive. We share trusted vendor recommendations and venue insights to help you build a supportive wedding team.
Ultimately, hiring an LGBTQ wedding photographer means working with someone who celebrates your love in a way that feels natural and empowering.
Our hybrid approach combines still photography and motion storytelling to create a full memory experience. We move between documentary observation and gentle guidance, ensuring your images feel natural while still benefiting from thoughtful composition and light. You will not be asked to perform or follow rigid posing formulas. Instead, we create space for real connection. Small gestures, laughter, emotional pauses, and spontaneous moments become the foundation of your visual story.
Our editing style is cinematic yet timeless, designed to age gracefully rather than follow short-term trends.
If you want a clearer idea of how the day flows, how we guide without overwhelming, and how we document moments as they naturally unfold, read what to expect on your wedding day from your photographer.

We are based in Arkansas and frequently document weddings across Texas and destination locations.
We regularly photograph celebrations in Little Rock, Fayetteville, Bentonville, and Hot Springs. These locations offer beautiful outdoor venues, artistic urban settings, and welcoming communities for queer couples.
Our work often brings us to Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. From modern venues to intimate backyard gatherings, we help couples create experiences that feel authentic to their relationship.
We travel nationwide to document elopements, micro-weddings, and full celebrations. Whether you are planning a coastal ceremony, mountain adventure, or city gathering, we adapt our storytelling approach to match your environment.
We capture the big moments and the quiet ones.
The chaos, the stillness, the laughter, the tears.
Everything that makes your story yours.
Your identities, cultural practices, chosen family, comfort levels, and boundaries guide every decision we make. We show up for you — not a version of you you’re expected to perform.
We’re here for every question — from logistics to nerves to “Is this idea weird?” (Answer: never.)
You inquire. We chat. You book. We celebrate.
We plan together. Then we document your day
with intention.
Yes! We’re based in Texas and Arkansas, but will happily go wherever your story takes you. We hop to our neighboring states often and, a little fun fact, our first queer wedding we photographed was in Santa Rosa, California. We keep our travel rates low and we’re always happy to design custom destination collections.
Absolutely. Your wedding film lets you relive your vows, hear the toasts, and catch the moments photos alone can’t capture. Most of our couples say video was their favorite investment.
Always. We’re here to guide you before, during, and after your wedding—timeline help, vendor recs, and answering every “Can we do this at our wedding?” question.
We believe in delivering every meaningful moment, so every delivered photo is intentional, candid, and true to you. For weddings, you’ll typically receive 50 to 75 edited images per hour of coverage. Each one is chosen with care so your gallery tells the real story of your day, with no filler, just the moments that matter.
Yes! All of our main collections include both photography and videography, unless you choose our six-hour photo-only coverage. We believe every couple deserves the full story, from the aisle to the dance floor. But, if only one type of coverage speaks to you, we offer custom collections with photo or video only.
We understand why you might ask. But editing is where your images get that true Hey Love Studio magic—the color, the warmth, and the finishing touches that make your gallery shine. Because of that, we deliver fully edited, high-resolution JPEGs instead of RAW files. This means every photo you receive is ready to print, post, and enjoy. If you have a special request, let’s chat about it. We always want you to love your final gallery.
